Hunmanby Hall Sport & Leisure - TENNIS ACADEMY
Katy Stringer runs the HHSL tennnis academy. She played nationally as a junior and concentrates on junior development. There are various sessions to choose from throughout the week, aimed at children from 3 -18 years of age.
All players have the chance to play in regular tournaments / matchplay to put their skills to the test.

Facilities include 4 adult courts, 1 indoor full-sized court, 4 mini tennis courts, practice wall and fitness-improving facilities which are used at regular intervals to encourage an all-round game.
We run coaching camps at Easter & Summer. Through the summer months, players are entered in the Driffield Junior League, Road to Wimbledon tournaments and the National Junior Club League.
TINY TOTS - Mondays 16.15 - 17.00
A fun session for 3-5 year olds. Introducing ball skills and eye to ball co-ordination, including throwing, catching and moving. Basic concept of tennis. Certificates, stickers and treats rewarded for their fantastic efforts.
Mini Red & Sponge Tennis
Tiny Tots tennis for children aged 3-5 years. Mondays 16.15 - 17.00 - lots of fun !
The aim is to use lots of equipment with different sized balls and balloons. This encourages a very high achievement rate for the participants.
Mini Red & Orange Tennis
Tennis for children aged 5 - 8 years. Tuesdays 17.00 - 18.00
Green Junior Tennis
Tennis for children aged 7 - 10 years. Wednesdays 17.00 - 18.00
Mini Orange & Green Tennis
Tennis for children aged 6 - 10 years. Saturdays 09.00 - 10.30
Squad Coaching For Rated Players
A and B squad players aged 9+ years - Monday 17.00 - 18.00 and Saturday 12.30 - 14.00
C squad players aged 9+ years - Wednesday 17.00 - 18.00 and Saturday 10.30 - 12.00
Within these sessions both fitness and technical assessment is carried out. All results are recorded and analysed so players can see where they need to improve.
At HHSL tennis we have links with other clubs where regular match play series are carried out.

Hunmanby Hall Under 16s tennis team won the Driffield Junior Tennis league this season, they played a selection of doubles & singles matches against other local clubs in the area, & never lost a match. Well done to players, they deserved the victory due to all the hard training they did over the winter & summer months. Bring on winter match plays & winning the league again next year !
