In 2011 I injured my knee on Filey Brigg, was airlifted into hospital and had an operation to wire my knee cap and patella tendon back together through holes drilled into the knee cap. During this period of being completely immobile, I subsequently gained more weight than I was happy with. In November 2012, after learning to walk again, I joined Hunmanby Hall Gym to help lose some weight and get my knee working again. I couldn’t be happier with the results so far! Not only can I walk confidently but I can walk down steep hills – something I didn’t think I’d be able to do again at all. I’ve got tons more energy which my kids are extremely pleased with!! I have also lost a grand total of 3 stones and 1lb so far…. but watch this space.. I am still losing it! I wouldn’t have been able to get this far without the support of Katy Cawthorn and fellow members at the gym, who comment each week how well I’m doing. I’ve never had such a personal and friendly service at a gym before. My confidence in myself has reached new levels and I haven’t been this happy in years. Thank you so much to everyone!!!!
